The purpose of this paper is to discuss the concept of Recognition (Anerkennung) in Axel Honneth. We will deal specifically with the implications of the concept of disrespect, i.e., non-recognition. The starting point in our analysis is the book "Struggle for recognition: the moral grammar of social conflict", as well as other texts published subsequently. In these writings, we find the basic principles that will guide the course of our approach. The method used in our exposition coincides with the structure proposed by the frankfurtian: (I) first, we will briefly list the triad that represents the positive aspects of intersubjective recognition: Love, Right, and Solidarity; (II) subsequently, the text will lean towards seeking to highlight the dimension of disrespect, the feeling of injustice that represents a denial of recognition: the mistreatment and violation, the deprivation of rights and exclusion the offense and degradation; (III) finally, an approach will be done on recognition and its relation to the historical process.
